Voice & Tone and Product Writing Guidelines

Domain's 2020 brand refresh meant looking at our Voice & Tone guidelines with new eyes. It was an opportunity to bring clarity, personality and much-needed consistency to our words across product, marketing and internal comms. 

We launched the guidelines to the business in early 2021 as part of the brand pack, with clear writing principles, goals, a style guide, complete with examples and best practices.

The Product Writing Guidelines had a refresh. When an internal audit showed that our guidelines weren't being used because they were hard to read, I worked on creating how-tos, cheat sheets and copy repositories that made the guidelines more 'visual' for our design and tech teams.
